Craving a brunch fix but not willing to brave an hours-long weekend wait? Brunch like a pro and hit out these top spots during the week. Sounds like a perfect excuse for a WFH sick day to us. Here are some of our favorite restaurants with memorable brunch options on the weekdays (without the crazy wait).

Outerlands. This Outer Sunset staple is a madhouse on weekends, but is a mellow, delicious option during the week. Their weekday breakfast menu includes gems like avocado toast, egg sandwiches, and a malted buttermilk waffle; it's also the only time to get their legendary cast-iron skillet grilled cheese.

Plow. The potatoes draw the crowds to this cozy Dogpatch corner spot, but the lemon ricotta pancakes, housemade sausage, and expertly prepared eggs have them willing to wait for hours on weekend mornings. Weekdays still draw crowds, but more manageably sized ones, and feature an extensive menu of Plow's greatest hits.

Mama's. A North Beach institution, Mama's draws crowds of locals and out-of-towners alike. Stop by on weekday mornings for decadent plates of French toast, fluffy omelettes, and textbook perfect benedicts. We love the neighborhood-inspired North Beach Benedict, layered with prosciutto and grilled tomato.

Nopalito. Easily some of the best Mexican food in town, Nopalito's daytime menu is well worth the indulgence. Loaded tortas, cravable chilaquiles, and a rib-sticking stew of butter beans, chorizo, bacon and eggs are certain to cure what ails you. If you're really going for it, definitely sample one of their excellent tequila or mezcal cocktails.
