Princeton, New Jersey, has many fine dining options, but one of the favorites is Mistral -- a classy, innovative spot whose chef, Scott Anderson, is a James Beard nominee. And recently, Anderson and team have expanded to the widely known shopping center King of Prussia Mall -- with Mistral KOP.
With seating for 111 guests -- and seasonal outdoor seating for 45 more -- it's an ambitious venture, but maintains the same high quality and philosophy of the original. Small plates are the name of the game here -- trendy dishes like tuna poke and an heirloom grain bowl; larger plates include a 48-hour short rib and a dry-aged burger with bacon jam, aioli, and greens on a brioche bun.
Not to be outdone, the craft cocktails are smart and ambitious -- the spritzy "Supernova," with limoncello, Aperol, orange blossom water, and sparkling wine; the "Element," with gin, Rammazzotti, pamplemousse, cherry Heering, and orange. And with a 25-person private lounge and the full venue both available for private booking, it's a fabulous new events venue in the Philly area.
