Sometimes, a restaurant doesn't need much to sell itself. With some restaurants, the very name is enough. So, when we hear of a place called Burgers & Lobster? Sign us up.

The London-based restaurant group has now expanded to New York, with Flatiron and Bryant Park locations (as well as Dubai, Bangkok, and Kuwait). Start off your meal with a dozen East Coast or West Coast oysters, or perhaps an order of calamari with three enticing sauces. But, of course, the main events need no introduction.

When it comes to burgers or lobster, there's no wrong order. "The Original," a 1 1/2-lb lobster with butter, fries, and salad: Perfect. "The Big Boys," starting at three pounds, with unlimited fries: Even better. Not feeling the lobster? Opt for "The Original Burger," a hefty 10-ounce Pat La Frieda beef patty on a sesame brioche bun, with bacon and cheese, all the toppings, and B&L's own burger sauce.

Or -- this is Burgers and Lobster, after all -- combine the two in any number of ways: "The Beast" burger, with lobster meat right on the patty; or the "Combo for 1," a whole one-pound lobster, grilled or steamed, with a six-ounce patty. Why choose? And of course, plenty of beverage offerings complement the food, from beer and wine to lively, ambitious cocktails (like "The Field Trip," with Brooklyn Gin, Lillet Rouge, vermouth, lemon, and chai syrup).

It almost goes without saying that the modern, lofty restaurant spaces are ideal for events. (It's a rare person who could deny the appeal of burgers or lobster, after all.) From private rooms for smaller gatherings to epic buyouts housing up to 500 guests (at the Flatiron location), there are any number of ways to customize the spaces for whatever event you can dream up.
