You're in San Diego. If you're planning an event, why not take advantage of the sure-to-be-gorgeous weather? If you're looking for a centrally located spot with a laid-back, engaging feel, great food, and plenty of craft beer, Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station is your spot.
Today, San Diego has a reputation as a craft beer hub. No brewery did quite as much to cement that reputation as Stone Brewing. Founded in 1996 in San Marcos, California, it's the largest brewery in Southern California, best-known for its hoppy IPAs like the ubiquitous Stone IPA.
As Stone has grown, it's also opened up tap rooms and more all over California. And Liberty Station is a standout. The former mess hall of a U.S. Navy training center, it celebrates that history while adding its signature touches: indoor-outdoor dining and bars; a bocce ball court; outdoor cinema space; gardens. Sophisticated but comfortable, with almost endless space, it's a no-brainer for events.
Corporate events that have a relaxed, sociable feel are a natural fit here. So are buttoned-down rehearsal dinners, or landmark birthday parties. And even the biggest events can find a home; a full buyout can accommodate over 500 guests.
Of course, in a temple to beer, you'll be drinking very well. Liberty Station has a whopping 40 taps, of course featuring Stone's core and limited-release beers, as well as those from small local breweries they celebrate.
And food is just as essential. Drawing international inspiration, the menu spans the globe. Naturally, beer-friendly eats are represented: an Imperial Russian Stout pretzel with Stone Delicious IPA Mustard and beer cheese; Chinese sticky ribs, Jidori chicken wings. Since this is San Diego, tacos are well-represented, from mahi-mahi fish tacos with pineapple pico to filet mignon tacos with chimichurri. Burgers, sandwiches, entree salads; it's all here.
The whole while, beer will be flowing and the sun will be shining. What more do you want from a party?
