Kung Fu Saloon is a Texas-based bar and restaurant with locations in Austin, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Nashville. And they've been serving up pickle shots, crazy Friday nights, and Sunday Fundays since opening their Downtown Austin location in 2009.
Each Kung Fu Saloon location is home to 18-plus vintage arcade games, like Galaga, Centipede, Ms. Pacman, NBA Jam, Mortal Kombat, Golden Tee, Big Buck Hunter, and plenty more. The fun continues with shuffleboard, foosball, ping pong, always-free skee ball lanes, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, and board games.
To quench your thirst, Kung Fu Saloon offers a full bar, including domestic and craft beer on tap, with selections ranging from the staple Miller Lite to your favorite local selections such as Yazoo Hop Perfect IPA in Nashville and 512 Pecan Porter in Austin. Each location has unique drink menus and, of course, the infamous pickle shots. To satisfy your hunger, Kung Fu Saloon offers a full, eclectic pub-style menu, with favorites like Cheeseburger Egg Rolls, Kimchi Cheese Tots, and the notorious “the Dank” sandwich.
And of course, Kung Fu Saloon offers up plenty of private event space for you to get your pickle shot ju-jitsu on. For example, the Austin Rock Rose location's patio and main dining room can accommodate 39 and 220 sparring partners, respectively (and presumably, respectfully).
So, grasshopper: Whether you’re a barroom martial artist, a pinball wizard, or just looking to have a fun time at a unique spot with your pickle-shotting buddies, Kung Fu Saloon is the spot for you.
